Appellation Series – Petite Sirah 2018

Our Petite Sirah is a must try for lovers of bold & flavorful reds. Succulent & rich, its deep purple color leads way to bold aromas of warm berry pie and loads of blueberry mixed with vanilla and a light pepper spice. Full flavors of lush berries mixed with dark chocolate, warm cedar, and vanilla give way to a delightfully smooth finish with moderate tannins. Our Petite Sirah is a perfect companion with dishes like veal saltimbocca or braised beef with winter vegetables. Any dish with mushrooms is sure to be a palate pleaser.

The Petite Sirah is vinted and blended from grapes grown in Lodi by the Kautz Family. These Petite Sirah grapes were grown at their Teichert Ranch vineyard in the Sloughouse sub‐appellation of the Lodi AVA. These soils contain large stones throughout, however, are well‐drained and ideal for growing world‐class winegrapes.
