Appellation Series – Sauvignon Blanc 2021

$24.00

This Sauvignon Blanc is dry, medium‐bodied emanating fresh and herbaceous flavors. It is full of crisp notes reminiscent of gooseberry and grass. Sauvignon Blanc with its herbaceous notes pairs well with similar green herbs. If it has parsley, rosemary, basil, cilantro or mint, chances are Sauvignon Blanc will make a great pairing. It’s a classic with fish and shellfish. Trout almandine and grilled scallops are one of our favorites.

Description

The wine in the bottle is vinted and blended from grapes grown in Lodi by the Kautz Family. The Kautz family was the first to plant Sauvignon Blanc in the Mokelumne River sub‐AVA of Lodi. The sub‐AVA is known for diverse soils and that create a more complex wine. Located in the south‐west portion of Lodi, this micro climate is benefitted by the cool breezes of the Pacific Ocean via the Delta water system and the Mokelumne River.
